Cupping

The cups aid in a more effective deep tissue providing relief from pain and relaxation for mind and body.  Improving the blood and energy circulation is the primary goal of cupping therapy. 

The most common benefit of cupping is pain relief and relaxation.   Rather than pushing into the muscles and soft tissue, the cups suction pulls the tissue upwards which most clients feel relaxing.  The cups suction allows the body to detoxify, activate lymphatic system flow, removes blockages and improve overall blood circulation.  Cupping is one of the best deep-tissue therapies available. It is thought to affect tissues up to four inches deep from the external skin. 

During the application of cups, you will experience a warm and pull sensation on the skin.   The therapy itself is painless.  The cupping mark does fade within 3-7 days depending on how long the cups are on the skin. 

Increasing water intake post session is advised to help with the elimination of toxins.  Just like after a deep tissue session muscles get dehydrated and toxins are released.
